The consultancy must be commissioned and sponsored by the chief executive of the client organisation or unit.

The Sponsor's commitment to, and participation in the process is vital to a successful outcome.

The Sponsor and I agree the focus and scope of the consultancy, the overall implementation schedule, and the objectives and participants for the workshop.

The participants will be the senior management team reporting to the Sponsor.

The Sponsor must commit the team's availability for participation, and arrange a workshop location insulated from the distractions of normal business activity.

The Commissioning phase can usually be completed in a half-day meeting between the Sponsor and myself.
